This had been on my bucket list for a very long time…
I’m so grateful we were able to experience the majestic beauty of Tsé bighánílíní – Upper Antelope Canyon. Pictures don’t do it justice, but nevertheless…
Our next stop on our 2023 Spring Break trip was Bryce Canyon. There was still plenty of snow around, so it was a short stop.
As the sun was starting to set, we finally made to Zion National Park. What a great introduction to this magnificent place!
That first night we stayed at a hotel in Springdale, but after that we were lucky to find accommodations at the Zion National Park Lodge, such an incredible opportunity to stay right inside the park. It was great to walk outside our room to the bus stop and start exploring and hiking!
We absolutely loved Zion, many of the hikes were friendly for our entire family, so we were able to enjoy a good portion of the park in the days we were there.
Anyone that knows me knows that I was certainly not skiing in Utah or anywhere else… but my boys were! For Spring Break 2023 we planned a trip that started off in Solitude with three ski days for Ben, Peter and Benji.
We flew out of Detroit and into Salt Lake City, and drove up Big Cottonwood Canyon to The Inn at Solitude. They had had a little bit of snow…
Off they went on day one!
After that it was just Ben and Peter, the amount of snow was bit much for the shorter 4 year-old, who got to hang out with me instead 🙂
Clearing snow off roads and parking lots around here is no joke.
It sure was pretty at night.
After some record snowfall, we drove down the mountain, had one child puke in the car, found a laundromat in Salt Lake and took care of that business, and then we were on our way to our next adventure: Zion National Park!
