Gettysburg and Air & Space Museum

During our time in York, PA (August 2023) we got to experience some great sites.

We visited the Gettysburg National Military Park.

We took a day trip to Washington, DC to visit the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.

And then we drove closer to the airport to check out the Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center, that was incredible, it was SO worth the drive.

The four yearl-old got the chance to see two of his favorites: Blue Angels and Dusty!

We had such a wonderful time visiting, hopefully this will be the first of many more get-togethers!

Summer Road trip to Pennsylvania

In August of 2023 we packed our bags, got two kids and one abuela in the car, and headed off on a road trip to York, PA to visit family. Our first stop was Cleveland, Ohio, where we had dinner with good friends and then headed to the Great Lakes Science Center early the next morning. We had lots of fun exploring and learning about dinosaurs, space, and so many other neat things!

After that we made a quick stop at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (just to check out the lobby, really).

The road took us to Pittsburgh for a baseball game at PNC Park and a visit to the Children’s Museum.

The next day we made it to York!

It was so nice to get together and spend some days with family…

Especially seeing these two together once again. They first met when they were 4 months and 2 years-old, and have had the opportunity to meet again and again over the years 🙂

Benji was very happy to eat arepas every day, and he even learned to make them!

Of course we had to fit in a baseball game! And a visit to a dairy farm with tasty ice cream.

Dinosaurs around Moab, Utah

On the last days of our Spring Break 2023 trip we decided to check out a few dinosaur sites. First we visited the Moab Giants park. We all thoroughly enjoyed it, but it was especially fun for the four year-old.

We were treated to some really cool skies with these lenticular clouds!

And we were lucky enough to meet a couple of real life paleontologists, who showed us real dinosaur bones and dinosaur poop!

We made a quick stop at Canyonlands National Park.

We ended our dinosaur day at the Mill Canyon Dinosaur Trailhead Interpretive Site. How incredible to stand right where dinosaurs walked millions of years ago!

Arches National Park

And just when you think you couldn’t be amazed by any more rock formations, you get to Arches National Park. This was just a lot of fun and incredibly beautiful! We started off our first day at the visitor center.

And then off we went!

Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Our Spring Break trip in 2023 also included a visit to the iconic Monument Valley. This was our view from the place we stayed at.

The next morning we had a great time driving around the 17-mile loop and admiring these magnificent formations.

And then we were back on the road again…
